How ADCE Leapt Into the Digital Age with ProTenders’ eTendering Solution

ADCE's Objectives

As a leading service provider in real estate and property development, Abu Dhabi Commercial Engineering (ADCE) wanted to adopt a more proactive approach to seeking out suppliers and contractors. Part of this objective included a desire for the firm to increase its visibility within the country and the region. Being a semi-government entity, ADCE also wanted to increase efficiency and transparency with all the landlords and third parties involved in the tendering process. Having previously worked with other companies to digitize their tendering function that over-promised and under-delivered, ADCE came across ProTenders’ purpose built eTendering software, specifically designed for construction tendering in the UAE and GCC.

Ensuring a Smooth Migration to Digital Tendering

From the beginning, ADCE and ProTenders worked closely together to map out the process and identify various milestones to provide an uninterrupted transition from manual to digital tendering. The ProTenders team extended ongoing training to all ADCE suppliers to guarantee the complete proficiency of the implemented end-to-end solution. At present, ADCE has a supply chain of approximately 2000 companies consisting of consultants, contractors and suppliers on the eTendering platform.

Unique Customization

With ProTenders’ unique ability to customize and build features into the eTendering platform, ADCE has experienced an effortless tendering process. After using ProTenders, the firm has been able to make faster decisions and shorten overall project cycles. Additionally, ProTenders also adds value to ADCE’s tendering processes by incorporating best practices from other markets to constantly enhance and evolve the platform.

Immediate Benefits

The benefits experienced by ADCE exceeded their initial expectations. After digitizing, ADCE improved the time to issue tenders to market because they were less dependent on their internal IT department for development and storage as ProTenders managed some of these requirements. Moreover, the ProTenders platform allowed for faster decisionmaking and bids analysis because of easily available reports which ultimately helped set a benchmark for enhanced customer experience across the region.

The eTendering platform also significantly reduced the costs of paper and printing consumables, couriers and storage. In fact, the the firm is now approxima-tely 80% paperless from using ProTenders.

Final Thoughts

Since working with ProTenders, ADCE has led the property development market with a new standard for timely project delivery resulting in increased cost efficiencies and in client satisfaction. The firm benefited from higher net promoter scores as they were able to surpass landlord expectations and guarantee satisfaction, due to quicker turnaround times, especially on their government portfolio. Digitizing has also ensured clear communication with all third parties, greater transparency and increased the number of vendors on ADCE’s supply chain.
