The firm provides full consultancy services in the fields of Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Project Management and Quantity Surveying. The firm also provides Interior Design Services through the collaboration with international practices. TNQ has been involved in a number of building typologies, including; Mixed-Use, Industrial and Infrastructure.
Architects at TNQ strongly believe in the importance of culturally, environmentally and economically relevant solutions to architectural problems. There is an equally strong belief in the importance of striving towards the ephemeral and the meaningful in architecture, as opposed to the simply functional.
Engineers in the firm are equally concerned with a project specific approach to design. Structural Engineers are experienced in a wide range of structural systems. MEP Engineers are increasingly interested in understanding and implementation of principles of green building and sustainability.
TNQ’s role offen starts at Pre-design / feasibility and continues on to design, tendering, construction supervision and contract administration.
tarek n qaddumi
Tarek N Qaddumi is the Principal Architect and Managing Director at TNQ. Tarek is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture. Before establishing TNQ in the UAE, Tarek worked with 2005 Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne / Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles. Later, Tarek joined award-winning firm Jourda Architects in Paris, where he became Project Manager for the largest private hospital in Europe, Hôpital Jean Mermoz. Subsequently, Tarek headed the Swiss practice Samuel Creations in the Middle East as Regional Manager. Major Projects accomplished during this period were the Novotel and Ibis hotels at the Dubai World Trade Center. Today, Tarek drives the architectural practice in the firm, in addition to his duties as General Manager.
