It was entrusted with the care of young people, the creation of the causes of power and care for them, the development of their moral, mental and artistic capacities and the means to foster a religiously, socially, physically and culturally good citizen However, in practice, in light of the renewed cultures and the spread of science and technology, the integration of youth and sports into one body has placed more burdens on them, with the problems and issues of youth and sport, and the inadequacy of the requirements of The development of sports activity to suit the status of the State of Kuwait in the local, regional and international forums, and strengthens its position and develop sports activity in the country for the better compared to the possibilities available for sport, so is it urgent to separate the sports sector for young people under the umbrella of the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs.
And this work by the independence of a body for sports activity will be reflected by its positive effects on sports clubs and unions for the better, there will be more space to work on the implementation of the State's policy in the field of sport and its various people and facilities.
From this point of view, Law No. (97) for the year 2015 established the General Authority for Sport to harness all possibilities and sports systems for the development of sports activity.
