Jointly owned by the Government of Oman and Oman Oil Company, Orpic has four plants and a staff complement in excess of 2,600 people of which 74% of the workforce is represented by Omanis. Oman Petrochemicals Industries Company LLC is acquired by Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company in April 2010. Oman Petrochemicals Industries Company LLC (OPIC) owns and operates a petrochemical complex in the Sohar Industrial Port area in Oman. OPIC was founded in 2004 and is based in Muscat, Oman.
