Bahrain Precast Concrete Co. W.L.L. (BPC)(CR NO. 8688) was established in 1977 as partnership company between Haji Hassan Group of Bahrain and NTR Holding (erstwhile R&S Holding A/S) of Denmark to design, produce and erect precast elements in Bahrain. The company was procured by Haji Hassan Group in early 2006.
It started its operation in 1978 making it the first company to design, manufacture, and erect precast components in Bahrain. Bahrain Hotel Regency was the first project handled by BPC in 1978 which exclusively employed facade panels, and even after all these years, the precast panels reflect a high degree of durability.
BPC is an Approved Supplier of precast concrete components to Government projects in Bahrain. Further BPC's engineering office is licensed by the Ministry of Works & Housing, Committee for Organizing Engineering and Professional Practices, Category D(A) License no. EPP/BN/53 category D(A), thus fully qualifing it to carry out engineering design of precast components and design of elements. The company works closely with Bahrain consulting engineers and architects to enhance the use of high quality precast concrete in the Bahrain building industry.
BPC factory is situated in Salmabad area. Production facilities include the latest strands tensioning machines, extruders and slab cutting machines for Hollowcore slabs. It has purpose built mould tables and special casting equipment for wall panelling. The factory has extensive storage/curing area. Production and loading area is covered by cranage for handling and loading the components.
Concrete is one of the most important constituent of precast elements and BPC produces concrete in-house in accordance with international standards, thus ensuring the highest quality of Concrete and Precast Elements.
The company has a fleet of purpose built trailers for safe and efficient transport of the precast elements. BPC also maintains a fleet of various capacities of cranes for placement of elements in position at construction site.
Continuous monitoring of precast elements is done to ensure that the quality of product is maintained. A full laboratory service ensures that precast elements adhere to the required specifications. In addition to the concrete test, load and shear test are done on regular basis to ensure that high quality is maintained. The quality system of the BPC is certified to ISO-900-2000 standards since 1995.
