Kalde was founded in 1977 by three entrepreneurs, all engineers. It was originally founded as a limited company. In 1989, it became a corporation. Initially, it was only involved in producing brass parts for air-conditioners. Later, parts for automotive and gas industries were introduced. Different brass components were produced on-demand as well.
With time, Kalde became a supplier of metal inserts for major polypropylene manufacturers. In 2002, it started its production lines also for PP; starting with fittings and later on adding extrusion lines for pipes. Kalde’s long history of experience with metal processing was instrumental in the quick success of PP production and sales.
Current metal processing capacity is 450 tons/month whereas the PP processing capacity Is a world-leading 2,000 tons/month.
