The Prague architectural office DaM was established in 1989. Its founders Richard Doležal and Petr Malinský have now four partners – Petr Burian, Jiří Havrda, Jiří Hejda, and Jan Holna. The practice designs buildings all around the Czech Republic and abroad, although the major part of its built projects is located in Prague. An important part of the job portfolio is renovation and modernisation of historical buildings often associated with modern extension/addition aside from new buildings. The DaM’s permanent team currently consists of about 25 persons – mostly architects. The practice is backed up by a range of experienced specialty offices providing services in related fields and thus it is able to guarantee that clients get complex projects including negotiation with authorities even for big-scale developments.
