The Public Utilities Corporation is a parastatal organisation formed in the year 1986 subsequent to the merger of two previous parastatals, namely the Seychelles Water Authority and Seychelles Electricity Corporation Limited. PUC is one of the leading organizations in Seychelles, providing electricity, water and sewerage services to customers on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. With a workforce of 950, PUC safely and dependably delivers electricity to 28,000 customers and water to more than 29,000 customers and provides Sewerage services to over 3000 customers.The turnover for the Corporation in 2013 is estimated around SR 1.34 Billion.
PUC continually strives to provide dependable and safe electric power, water and sewage services at a reasonable price to its customers. PUC will always seek ways to improve customer service, reduce costs, and adhere only to the highest quality standards and methods as we expand throughout the Republic of Seychelles.
PUC is a public corporation established to manage and operate the electrical, water and Sewage services to the Republic of Seychelles.
Comprised of a board appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Minister, the board leads the affairs and exercises the corporate powers of PUC.
