Pattern’s objective is to create designs that achieve a balance between man-made structures and the natural world. We are interested in projects that enhance the user experience by addressing well-being and visual harmony.
Founded in 2009 Pattern has an enviable record in international competitions; we have won projects in Canada, Abu Dhabi, France and the UK. Pattern is a generalist practice with strengths in stadia design.
Our methodology is founded on a rigorous analysis. This informs a contextual design solution addressing local culture, climate and practice. The idea of patterns is employed to analyse all aspects of a project: urban design, city context, geometry, people and traffic flows, local culture and natural order.
