Emlak Konut was established in 1953 and adopted REIC status in 2002. Emlak Konut, with its controlling shareholder Turkish Prime Ministry Housing Development Administration (TOKI), is the largest REIC in Turkey by the market value and the size of the land bank. The business involves the purchase of land and development of residential and commercial projects with a focus on the middle and upper-middle income groups. So far approximately 121.000 units have either been completed or under construction. Since 2003, the aggregate tender worth based on realized revenues, current agreements and protocols have been valued at: 21 billion USD.
