The real estate sector in the State of Qatar, i.e. its specialized services and various investment activities, constitute (1) a pivotal basis in the general structure of the State's economy, and ( 2 ) the platform from which all actual operations of economic activities.
Accordingly, we think of established a specialized company that presents its services to this vital sector. On 16th of September 2004, Qatar Islamic Bank established a company in partnership with Endowment ( Awqaf ) and Legacies Department, working under the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, under the name of "AQAR Real-Estate Development and Investment" All activities of the company are to be governed by and are in accordance with norms of the Islamic Shari'a. In the first quarter of 2001, the company started its activities with supply of specialists in the field of real estates management, along with previous experiences in the same field since it was pursuing its activities as one Qatar Islamic Bank Departments for more than ten years before coming into being. Out of Qatar Islamic Bank's keenness to provide its shareholders with good investment opportunities, AQAR is committed, by Allah's permission to continue presenting its excellent services in all fields. Furthermore, it will focus on supporting the economic abilities of the local market as well as participating in and benefiting from developing the real estate market in the State of Qatar.
