Anjuman Najmi was formed in 1970 by the farmaan dua of HH Dr. Sydena Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) for the benefit of his followers residing in the Emirate of Dubai by having them under the umbrella socially, culturally, religiously, & spiritually.
The affairs and institutions of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat in Dubai is entrusted to Anjman Najmi. This is a body which is appointed by Our Beloved Aqa Moula Sydena Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb (TUS) and is governed by a constitution drawn up and bestowed by him. The president of Anjuman Najmi is the Aamil Saheb, Janab Kinana bs Muder bs. A committee of management conducts the day-to-day affairs.
Anjuman Najmi functions in the same way as the other Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat throughout the world. It is always the aim of Anjuman Najmi to do all that is necessary for the religious, economic and cultural well being of jamaat members, always bearing in a mind the injunction of Al Quran and Islam's shariat. The ultimate goal is, a community life, fulfilling community needs and hopes to be achieved within the framework of UAE's policy and law, and living in harmony with all others.
