Al Jaber Protective Coatings has been in operation since 1991 and has been catering to the industries that require fusion bonded epoxy coating on reinforcement steel bars.
With 2 state-of-the-art production lines from a leading US based manufacturer, manned by a highly experienced team of professionals, the plant is capable of producing more than 60,000 tons annually.
The fusion bonded epoxy coating is a stepwise process that requires surface preparation of re-bars followed by spray coating that transmits the powder electro-statically to the re-bars and before water quenching is administered. The coating system conforms to ASTM A775/A775M. Strict quality control is ensured throughout the entire process to avoid uneven coating.
The epoxy plant coats steels from various sources such as Emirates, Saudi, Turkey, Sohar (Omani), Iran, etc.
In addition to the fusion bonded epoxy coating facility, the plant also has a re-bar cut-and-bend facility where re-bars (both coated & uncoated) from 8mm Ø to 40mm Ø can be cut and bend according to BS 8666 using conventional bare bar bending equipment facilitated with nylon mandrels.
Besides its use on Highway Bridge Decks, fusion bonded epoxy coating have been widely used to coat re-bars for highway and building construction. It has given a new dimension by continuously reinforcing concrete pavements, parking ramps, marine structures, desalination plants, power plants, waste treatment plants and other industrial structures.
The Al Jaber Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating Plant caters to the U.A.E. market and has also diversified its operations in other countries such as Oman, Qatar, and Libya.
