Akbari Architects is the pioneering vision of Mr. Mahmood Akbari, the first Bahraini architect. Mr. Akbari is credited with establishing the first Architect’s Office in the 1960’s when design and construction was in its nascent stage in the Kingdom.
For four decades, Mr. Akbari has underpinned the architectural progress of the nation, and has been instrumental in some of the most prestigious projects.
Some of the landmark structures include the tallest building in Bahrain at that time, the Adliya mosque and Al Khawaja mosque, in addition to a lot of prominent projects for the Amiri Court.
His passion for architecture has influenced and inspired a generation of Bahraini architects. Today, his legacy continues to live on with his daughter Kholood, at the helm of Akbari Architects.
