ProTenders works with SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA

ProTenders is a construction tendering platform for developers and owners. Keep SAP Ariba for your sourcing events and SAP S/4HANA for purchasing and finance; run the construction tender in ProTenders, then send the award to S/4HANA.

What SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA do best

  • SAP Ariba runs sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs and auctions) with bid analysis, scoring and award.
  • SAP Ariba manages contracts, and supplier lifecycle and performance, alongside sourcing.
  • SAP S/4HANA is the ERP: finance, purchasing, sourcing and procurement, and accounts payable.

Where ProTenders fits

SAP Ariba runs sourcing events of its own. ProTenders prices the BoQ line by line, with one clarification log and committee scoring.

  • Bidders price your BoQ line by line, and you compare the bids line by line.
  • Clarifications in one log that every bidder sees.
  • Technical and commercial envelopes, scored by your committee (from Pro).
  • Bid prices encrypted with a key unique to each tender.
  • Unlimited users on every plan.
  • 50,000+ construction companies in the directory.

What moves between them

What an integration can carry between the two.

Into ProTenders

  • Suppliers invited to an SAP Ariba event, through its Event Management API.
  • Event details and items from SAP Ariba, through its Event Management API.

Back to SAP

  • The award, as a purchase order through S/4HANA's Purchase Order API, or a contract through your SAP integration software.

How it connects

ProTenders has a REST API (/v3) that reads tenders, bids, awards and evaluations (Pro), and webhooks that tell your systems when they change (Enterprise). BoQs and evaluation matrices come in from Excel; comparisons and registers go out to it.

Your team calls the ProTenders API and the platform's own, directly or through the integration software you already run.

SAP Ariba's APIs are not open by default: the customer's SAP team requests access from SAP.
