Petroleb S.A.L. is an upstream oil and gas company which has been incorporated in the Republic of Lebanon. It is headquartered in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
Offshore Lebanon is believed to have sizable hydrocarbon resources. This has been proven by the promising results of intensive seismic surveys, and by the positive results of exploration drilling in neighboring countries.

Lebanon has launched its first bidding round to explore its offshore oil and gas resources after pre-qualifying 46 companies, including 12 international oil and gas giants. Petroleb was one of the very few participating Lebanese companies. It was jointly prequalified as a right holder (Non-operator) with one of its international partners.
