La Voile d’Or, formerly named The Park Hotel, was established by Captain Powell in 1925. An English gentleman, and golf and billiard champion, he dreamed of opening a prestigious hotel in the Cote d’Azur, a dream that he realized with great achievement. The hotel was closed during the Second World War and re-opened in 1946. The staff’s hospitability, warmth and conviviality, and the lack of ostentation contribute to the unique character and mood of the hotel that carries on today. With the transition to a new generation, Isabelle Lorenzi strives to be true to La Voile d’Or’s tradition of exceptional hospitality, preserving its elegance and offering the modern comfort expected in a luxury hotel.
