Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) is a public law entity attached to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, whose purpose is the promotion through SEPI Desarrollo Empresarial, S.A., S.M.E. (SEPIDES) of entrepreneurial activity through two ways:
Promotion and support of private investments in capital and making loans that generate wealth and jobs.
Performing all types of urbanistic and real estate operations, among which development of economic promotion projects through design, urbanisation and promotion, in cooperation with official bodies or business parks.
It also provides management and real estate counselling services to SEPI and its companies in order to optimise the business parks of the holding.
SEPIDES starts its activity in the business area in November 2002. In 2011 it carried out the takeover of the company INFOINVEST and of its affiliated companies, in keeping with the resolution of the Council of Ministers on April 30th, 2010. Thus, it added the real estate activity to its traditional activity of corporate promotion, with the priority objective of promoting the development of the entrepreneurial activity in those industries and areas which are especially important for the Government and for SEPI.
